Biography

Shana McLean Moore:

After eight years of teaching high school Spanish while juggling the needs of her growing family, Shana decided it was time for a change. At the coaxing of friends and family, she was inspired to pursue writing as a career after several editions of her spunky and irreverent Christmas letter were met with glowing (though certainly not unbiased) praise. Since then, Shana is proud to have become a columnist for the Almaden Times in San Jose, California. Her essays have also been published in The San Jose Mercury News and on numerous Web sites, including Parenthood, Sanity Central and Silicon Mom. Shana is also the author of Caffeinated Ponderings on Life, Laughter & Lattes, the co-author of Femail: A Comic Collision in Cyberspace and a contributing writer to Chicken Soup for the Shopper’s Soul and the soon to be released Chicken Soup for the Coffee Lover’s Soul. Her most recent passion is in bringing people together to foster a deeper sense of community where they work and live.
